Where your click happens

It does the legwork, even the employer's sign-up. Two moments are always yours, and it never presses Submit.

  1. AutoPostingopens the job, follows Apply
  2. AutoEmployer siteits own Apply now
  3. AutoAccountsign-up; password to your Keychain; email code from Gmail
  4. AutoForm filledextension + Claude, from your kit
  5. YouCAPTCHA and termsit asks, you tick
  6. YouReview and Submitit stops here, always

With the Chrome extension alone it's shorter: the extension fills the form on the page you're on, and the same last step is yours.

Research

Built on what job seekers actually report

We went through 42 Reddit threads in which software engineers described their own job searches, from 2020 to 2026: the boom, the layoffs and today's crowded market. Then we checked Job Pilotto against every problem they named.

Their main problem wasn't that sending applications took too long. It was not knowing where to spend the effort, and why nothing came back. So Job Pilotto is built for fewer, better applications.

What they reportedWhat Job Pilotto doesThreads
A good skills match, then a visa or language barrierReads each posting's languages and visa sponsorship, quoting the posting's own words. It hides jobs in languages you don't work in, flags the ones that need a sponsor, and moves work-permit questions to the top of the form5 threads
Hundreds of applications, no idea what isn't workingYour funnel shows where applications stop (reply, screening, interview, offer) and which step to improve. A daily insight compares what gets replies6 threads
Recruiter keen on the call, then silenceReads replies from Gmail and tells you when to follow up and who hasn't answered3 threads
Postings disappear; which CV did I send?At Submit it keeps the posting, every answer as sent, the cover letter and the CV version2 threads
Autofill that enters the wrong thingFills from answers you approved, marks anything the AI wrote itself for you to read, and never presses Submit2 threads
Keyword-stuffed or made-up CV rewritesA tailored CV uses only facts from your CV; code checks the numbers, and every change is shown with its reason. No fake “ATS score”3 threads
Easy Apply volume that goes nowhereSearches employers' own career sites and ranks each job for fit with your CV1 thread
Interview practice that doesn't carry overRecords (with everyone's consent) and transcribes on your Mac, reviews the call with what to practise, and builds prep from the job and your past interviews3 threads
Applications scattered across channelsFound jobs, applications made elsewhere, recruiter messages, screenshots and job-alert emails in one tracker3 threads

How we did it, and all 42 sources

An AI-assisted review of public threads posted between October 2020 and September 2026, read and checked by us. Counts are distinct threads, not percentages. Stories are self-reported and the numbers come from a handful of accounts: real experiences, not statistics. No usernames are quoted, and promotional posts were left out.

FAQ

Questions before take-off

Does it apply to jobs for me?

No, never. It finds, scores, drafts and fills. Submitting is always your click, after you've reviewed the form.

Do I need Notion?

Not to try it. Without Notion you can search, see fit scores, browse your jobs and get your strategy. To track applications, interviews and insights, connect a free Notion account: the app copies a ready-made workspace into it, whenever you're ready.

What does the AI cost?

You use your own Anthropic account, so the cost goes to you directly and you can see it: usually a few dollars a month, capped by the monthly budget you set. Each run shows what it cost in your Notion.

How is it different from Simplify, Teal, Huntr or JobCopilot?

It does the whole search, not one step: finds and scores jobs, drafts each form's answers, tailors your CV, fills the form and tracks replies from your Gmail, with your data in your own Notion. It never mass-applies. See the side-by-side comparison.

Windows or Linux?

Windows 10 or 11 (x64): download the beta. It isn't signed yet, so Windows asks once: More info → Run anyway. Apply with Claude works there too (it needs Git for Windows; new, so tell us how it goes); Fill in Chrome works the same, and Edge too. Linux: run it from the source. All supported platforms and what's coming.

Which jobs does it cover?

Built for IT, software and engineering roles, anywhere in the world (software, data, SRE and DevOps, security, QA, mobile and more). Other fields can work too, since you choose the job titles and places you want, but the employer pool and the tuning are for tech today, and we will extend them. It starts from a shared pool of employers with public career pages (Anthropic, OpenAI, Stripe, Datadog, Cloudflare and many more), checked daily and growing, plus jobs.ch, TechTree and Google Jobs. You choose your roles and places; a search only shows jobs that match them, so a search in Zurich and one in Singapore use the same pool and see different jobs.

Can I add my own employers?

Yes. Add any company to your Employers & Sources in Notion and it is crawled with the shared pool, or turn on your own scout to find more. Your list is yours: it stays in your Notion and is never uploaded. Only the public pool is downloaded, and it holds no personal data. By default the app also shares which employer career pages you use to help the pool grow; you can switch that off in Settings (details).

Does it work with LinkedIn?

It doesn't read or post on LinkedIn, but you can paste or screenshot a recruiter's conversation and it is tracked. Most roles you'd find there are also on the employer's own career page, which is where it looks and where you apply.

What happens to my CV?

It stays on your Mac. The AI reads it to draft your Profile (which you review in Notion) and, when you ask, to make a version tailored to one job; you see every change before it's used. Nothing is stored on a Job Pilotto server.

Is it really free? What happens after the free period?

Free for your first 30 applications or your first 60 days, whichever lasts longer. After that the app pauses only new work (preparing kits, filling forms, searching); tracking, Notion, export and your data keep working, and it never stops in the middle of an application. Early testers get a founder key that removes the limit: ask for one.

Can I run it myself for free?

Yes. Job Pilotto's source code is public: run it from source with the same Notion workspace. The Mac app is free too. Pro, coming soon, adds hosted searches and curated employer pools.
